Cree Broke LED Efficacy Records with 231 Lumen Per Watt,Create High record of high power R&D achievement in solid –state lighting field

Cree is announced to make a breakthrough on the record of 231 lumens per watt for a white power LED.which is another breakthrough to further demonstrates how Cree's relentless innovation continues to push the boundaries of what is feasible with LED lighting.

With a single-die part at a correlated color temperature of 4500 K and standard room temperature 350 MA testing, 231 lumens per watt for a white power LED is achieved.

John Edmond, Cree co-founder and director of advanced optoelectronic, said that "The innovation from our labs is the foundation for our industry-leading XLamp® LED relatives and an invention that continues our leadership of the LED lighting revolution."

This R&D result features advanced aspects of the same expertise used in Cree XLamp white LEDs. The company believes higher-performance LEDs can enable new LED-based applications & drive down the solution cost of current LED-based designs. In spite of this achievement have not applied to LED field, cree will continue to devote to create the high performance of led products ,continuously aimed to the development of led field as the wide series of industry products.
