The Organic Light Emitting Diodes abbreviated as OLED's are thought about to be the future trends. Lots of coutries had slowly began to move to LED & OLED lights.

Philips further expands retail lighting opportunities with its Lexel LED SLM systems

As a result of the changing and increasing competitive landscape, retailers are looking for new opportunities to distinguish themselves from the crowd to win customers. Lighting is of the ways to deliver a differentiating shopping experience. Wouter Boxhoorn, Marketing Manager for Philips OEM Lighting Solutions for Retail, explains: "We added this LED lighting know-how to our retail portfolio in order to provide a solution which allows retailers to differentiate with impact and to distinguish their brand to the maximum".

The Philips Lexel LED SLM tuneable white guarantees precision tuning across thousands of white colour temperatures (2,700K to 4,200K) due to its dedicated intelligent feedback system. The Philips Lexel LED SLM RGB offers a unit gamut colour temperature. Both modules allow color rendering (Ra) of 80 or higher and color consistency between engines across its lifetime of ≤ 5 SDCM.

Somerset, NJ The worlds first LED replacement for a 60-watt incandescent bulb is now also the first to earn ENERGY STAR qualification. Philips Lighting announced today that the Philips AmbientLED 12.5 watt (also sold professionally under the Philips EnduraLED brand) has met or exceeded the quality & energy efficiency requirements for a 60-watt LED equivalent set forth by ENERGY STAR, proving that it is a highly-efficient, cost-effective lighting option for consumers. The bulb lasts 25 times longer & makes use of 80 percent less energy than the 60-watt incandescent bulb it was designed to replace.

Carbon Neutrality for Philips SpeedStar, Road Lighting LED Luminaire

London, UK - Royal Philips Electronics (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHI)is delighted to announce that its award winning SpeedStar LED road lighting luminaire has been given the certificate of carbon neutrality. The certificate acknowledges that the emissions of carbon caused by the production* and recycling of the SpeedStar fitting has been offset by investing in greenhouse gas reduction projects from the Climate Neutral Group**. This programme will soon be extended to all Philips key outdoor luminaire ranges including CitySoul and CitySpirit.

This initiative compliments the Philips EcoVision programme, which has also drastically reduced the environmental impact of Philips manufacturing plants over the last decade.
